About this Site
This site describes my work, which was done as a part of the PR and HIMA contest. This contest was an ICPR contest. To get more detailed info about the contest, you may go here. The paper written for this contest was published in Proceedings of the ICPR Contest, with Springer. A softcopy of the paper is available here. The ICPR-2010 (20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition) was held at Istanbul, Turkey.

My Experience
It has been a great experience for me to attend the ICPR. It was also my first experience abroad. I liked the city of Istanbul. Great city, and a nice blend of European and Asian culture. As a matter of fact, I had the Blue Mosque as my laptop background for almost 4 months, and it felt great to see the Blue Mosque live in Istanbul. Last thing that I would like to say, this web-site was made at the Istanbul Attaturk Airport (near gate 219) where I had arrived almost 2 hours earlier than my flight departure. I hope the site is informative and serves its purpose.
